Terms of Service

Last updated: March 31, 2026

1. Use of Service

KnowzCode is an open-source development methodology created by Knowz. By accessing the KnowzCode website or using KnowzCode tools and documentation, you agree to these Terms of Service. You may use KnowzCode for personal, educational, or commercial purposes in accordance with the applicable open-source license.

2. Your Content

If you contribute to KnowzCode through GitHub (issues, pull requests, discussions), your contributions are subject to the project's open-source license. You retain ownership of your contributions but grant the project a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute them as part of the project.

You are responsible for ensuring your contributions do not violate any third-party intellectual property rights or contain sensitive personal information.

3. Open-Source License

KnowzCode is released as open-source software. The specific license governing the source code is included in the project repository. This license defines your rights to use, modify, and distribute the software. These Terms of Service apply to the KnowzCode website and hosted services, not to the open-source code itself, which is governed by its repository license.

4. Knowz Platform Integration

KnowzCode can optionally integrate with the Knowz platform for knowledge vault features. Use of the Knowz platform is governed by the Knowz Platform Terms of Service. KnowzCode's core functionality works independently and does not require a Knowz account.

5. Service Availability

The KnowzCode website and documentation are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep the site accessible, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with KnowzCode or Knowz.
  • Scrape or collect data from the site in a way that burdens our systems.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knowz and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of KnowzCode. KnowzCode is provided as a development methodology and tooling — the quality and correctness of code produced using KnowzCode remains the responsibility of the developer.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
