/knowz ask

The /knowz ask command lets you ask natural language questions and get synthesized answers from your knowledge vaults. It searches across configured vaults, retrieves relevant items, and produces a concise answer with citations. Perfect for 'why did we...' and 'how do we...' questions during development.

Getting started

Type /knowz ask followed by your question: '/knowz ask why did we choose Postgres over MongoDB?' The skill searches your configured vaults, finds relevant knowledge items, and synthesizes an answer. Citations link back to the original vault entries so you can read the full context. Follow-up questions maintain conversation context for multi-turn exploration.

Why it matters

Every team accumulates decisions, conventions, and lessons learned that live in people's heads or scattered documents. /knowz ask makes this knowledge instantly queryable during development. Instead of interrupting a colleague or searching through Confluence, ask the AI and get an answer backed by your team's actual documented knowledge.
