Find Entities
The find_entities MCP tool searches for named entities (people, organizations, locations, events) across your knowledge base. It returns entity profiles with all associated knowledge items, making it easy to find everything related to a specific person, team, or event.
How it works
Call find_entities with a name or description. The tool searches across entity types (people, organizations, locations, events, custom entities) and returns matching profiles with associated knowledge items. Each entity has a profile page showing all connected knowledge, relationships to other entities, and activity timeline. Useful for questions like 'what decisions did the platform team make about caching?'

Why it matters
Knowledge does not exist in isolation -- it is connected to people, teams, and events. Entity search lets agents navigate these connections. When onboarding a new team member, an agent can pull up everything the previous engineer documented. When reviewing a design decision, it can find who made it and what context existed at the time.
